Home at Last
I am home. Well, I’m in one of my homes. I’m in Atlanta. Next week I go home to Texas. The flight back was very long and made longer by the fact that the in-flight entertainment system was on the fritz. I’ve got 5 more days until I fly to Texas, and in that time I need to move in to my new apartment among other things.
People keep asking me, “Do you miss Europe? Do you miss Barcelona?” And my answer for the time being is “No. But that will probably change in about 2 weeks.” I am very glad to be home. I had three conversations with strangers today. The sheer fact that that was possible made my day. I am looking forward to having some Tex-Mex and spending time with my family next week. Until then I’ll be busy catching up with Atlanta friends. I know that the month I have until school starts will go by all too quickly.
My Summer 2008 European adventure has come to a close but I plan on traveling again as soon as my bank account can withstand the hit. After all, I still haven’t seen Scotland, England or Greece!
For those of you who think this is me signing off, you can think again. This site will definitely remain active with posts about tech news, world news, design, and basically anything else I find interesting. If you enjoy hanging out with me or talking to me, you will probably enjoy reading what I post here. Hopefully I can begin working on an interface redesign. I was never really happy with this look and feel but I needed something last minute. I hope you have all enjoyed the commentary over the past 2 and a half months and I will be posting my last few hundred pictures sometime in the next week to flickr. If you have never checked out my flickr stream, now is a good chance.
